Breaking Barriers: Unveiling the Phenomenal Talents of UNWANTED

In today's episode we introduce you an upcoming artist you already know cause he’s in the playlists for months now : UNWANTED !

I’m Louis from Unwanted and I come from the western part of France called Bretagne. As long as I remember I’ve always been playing music. After having played in a couple bands I decided it was time for me to release my original songs. So did I through this project “Unwanted” 3 years ago.

My sound is inspired by many artists from the pop punk / punk rock and emorap scene. Sum 41, Blink-182, Linkin Park or nothing nowhere and Lil Peep to name a few artists. 

I try to combine these rock influences with trap instrumentals to create a sound that's proper to me.

We interviewed him few weeks ago before :

You dropped a new single on May 12th, it’s called “FUCKED UP” , what’s your feelings about the song ? 🤔

 “Fucked Up” is a special song to me. It’s the most punky song I’ve ever made. The only thing I remember when I created the song was to play the first chords that came in my mind, to record it and to add the rest. It was a quick process, but long enough for me to express my anger and frustration.

When did you write it? ✍🏼

I wrote "Fucked Up" 1 year ago, in February 2022, at a time when I was taking a step back from current events and observing what was happening in the world. 

At the time, I thought the world was getting more and more fucked up, that we were heading straight for the wall, because of wars, poverty and climate change. I'd given up hope that things would ever get better. That's when the first words came to me: "I'm fucked up” / “Everything is fucked up", and the rest of the lyrics came naturally. 

I was very much inspired by the events that were going on at the time, particularly the war in Ukraine, which inspired my verse. It was written in a particular context, and yet it's still relevant today because there are still wars going on... 

But this time I'd say that I've regained hope in the world and that we'll find solutions to put an end to these problems.

Lots of things !

Since this year, I've set myself the goal of releasing 1 song a month and within a year releasing my 1st album. 

I'm on the right track, and more and more people are listening to my music, for which I'm extremely grateful !

It's also the 1st time I've received DMs from fans who recognize themselves in my songs, which touches me because I'm talking about subjects that aren't always easy. It just goes to show that music really is a way for many people to express their emotions!
